Bavis Fabacraft Joins National Cannabis Industry Association, NCIA Committees for 2024
Bavis Fabacraft, a leading manufacturer of drive-thru and physical security solutions, is excited to announce its membership with the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA), the largest and oldest national advocacy trade association for small cannabis businesses and cannabis policy reform. Embracing a more personable approach, Bavis is not just joining, but actively participating in the cannabis community.
To foster collaboration and understanding within the industry, Bavis Sales Director, Marcus Brewer, will be contributing his expertise to the Retail Committee, while our Marketing Director, Tyler Munn, takes an active role on the Marketing and Advertising Committee. This hands-on involvement allows Bavis to connect with the people and businesses shaping the cannabis landscape.
Marcus Brewer highlights the importance of diverse perspectives, stating, “Our goal is to both share and gain insights from voices across the industry. With the increasing number of dispensaries reaching out to Bavis, we see this as a great opportunity to better understand our customers and provide valuable insights to the NCIA community, drawing from our 60 years of experience in building efficient, secure spaces for businesses of all sizes.”
For Bavis, NCIA membership goes beyond a corporate level; it's about engaging with fellow members on a personal level, stepping outside traditional roles Bavis normally works with. Tyler Munn notes, “There’s a lot happening behind the scenes in this industry, and it truly takes a village to ensure a dispensary location is compliant, viable, and successful. While it presents its own set of challenges, there are some analogs to the hurdles Bavis has navigated in the past with pharmacies and financial services. If we can share our business expertise and extend a helping hand individually, we’re more than happy to do so, all while enriching our knowledge of the industry along the way.”
Bavis has been active in the cannabis industry for several years now, attending major tradeshows like Cannabis Conference and MJBiz Conference, in addition to consulting on and producing systems for new- and retrofit dispensary buildouts. Bavis is looking to expand on that engagement in 2024, exploring deeper participation in NCIA and other cannabis industry conferences and trade shows throughout the year, as well as growing its catalog of security solutions to meet dispensary needs.
